HP in out of court settlement on Ink Patents
Following legal action by HP in a local German court against Pelikan (GmbH) which was allegedly infringing its patents on ink formulations, Pelikan Hardcopy Deutschland GmbH and Swiss Pelikan Hardcopy (International) AG in an out of court settlement Pelikan have been ordered to stop importing and distributing ink cartridges that allegedly infringe Hewlett- Packard patents, and to pay damages to HP.
Pelikan was also ordered to recall all infringing products that might still be in the distribution channel, Hewlett-Packard said Thursday.
