HP Produces 500,000,000’th printer!
Not only has HP produced sparking sales results for Q1 2008, they have also reported that they sold their 500 Millionth printer in the last quarter.
I can remember my first HP Deskjet 500C. Quite frankly I was in awe of it, having just upgraded from an old Epson Dot Matrix printer (FX80 I think) the ability to print quietly, on proper paper and in colour was stunning. The real issue I had with the Epson was the fact that you had to watch it as the tractor feed would jam and the paper misfeed which resulted in a right mess. Just running a pack of A4 paper and getting laser quality (to my awestruck eyes) was quite breathtaking. I guess I’m just a techno junkie at heart!. We still sell the cartridges for that printer – from memory the HP 25 and 26, although not many!!
