Stinkyink honoured with Business Award
Last night, 12th of June 2007 at a glittering awards ceremony in the City of London, the team from Stinkyink.Com were
honoured to receive a runners up award from the Federation of Small Business (FSB) in the ‘British Small Business Champions 2007 -Retail category’.
The FSB have been running the ‘British Small Business Champions’ awards for five years and each year more and more companies enter. The aim of the awards is very simple ‘to celebrate and recognise the achievements and importance of Britain’s small business sector’. Entries were invited from established, thriving businesses that are well run, highly regarded by staff and customers and preferably involved in their local community.
From thousands of initial entries back in January, through a rigourous selection process over three rounds the finalists were whittled down. Choosing which category to enter was a particular problem for Managing Director John Sollars. The categories were;
- Ethical Business award
- Innovation Award
- Manufacturing Award
- Service Award
- Retail Award
- Young Entrepreneur Award
and
John said ‘We consider that we run our business along ethically sustainable lines, that we strive to give great service to our customers and are innovative in our approach to business and the way we go to market. In the end we decided that the Retail Category was probably the most relevant.’
