The Camera - Canon Digital Ixus 90 IS

The Canon Digital Ixus 90 IS is currently the flagship model of the Digital IXUS range. Finished in precision-crafted titanium and retaining the Perpetual Curve design of its predecessors, the Canon Digital IXUS 900 offers 10 megapixels, ultra-compact 3x optical zoom lens, Canon’s new DIGIC III image processor with advanced Noise Reduction technology, and Face Detection AF/AE. Other standout features include ISO 1600 for flash-free low light shooting, 2.5″ high resolution LCD with wide viewing angle, plus 18 shooting modes, including two new Special Scene modes - Aquarium and ISO 3200 (1600×1200 pixel images only). Canon have billed the Canon Digital IXUS 900 as “the perfect combination of pioneering technology and arresting design”.

The Printer - Canon ip4500

Although the trend is definitely from ink-jet printers to all-in-one machines, there are still advantages to the single-function machine, which is smaller and slightly cheaper for the same specification level. Canon’s new PIXMA iP4500 includes duplex printing, a PictBridge camera socket, dual paper trays and CD/DVD print facilities.

The Storage - Imation 160GB portable hard drive

Imation have been in the digital storage business for what seems like forever, and has a range of portable hard drives in different shapes and sizes. The Apollo range is available in capacities up to 320GB: the 160GB external drive on offer here is just about pocket-sized and finished in a rough black plastic and chrome design. Aside from a blue access light on the exterior and mini-USB port, there’s not a lot else to it, though you are provided with backup software pre-loaded if you need it and cables
